Minutes of July general meeting.
JULY 5, 2011
The Middle Georgia Miata Club met on July 5, 2011 at 7:00 PM at Sonnny's Restaurant on Russell Parkway. The meeting was conducted by our President, Jackie Prescott. The Treasurer's Report was given by our Treasurer, Barbara Marshall.
Thanks to Barbara & Woody Marshall for leading & putting together the cruise last Sunday,July 3 to watch the movie, Cars II at the Historic Ritz Theatre in Thomaston,Georgia. We all then went to eat at Piggie Park Drive-In. It was a fun trip!!
Wednesday,July 20th we will have a Milkshakes & Miatas gathering. We will meet at the Dairy Queen in Byron, Georgia at 7:00 PM. Come enjoy a cool treat & visit with our members.
Friday,July 29th- Sunday ,July 31st we will have some members traveling for Miatas at the Gap in Deal's Gap, North Carolina. Most will be staying & coming back on Monday, August 1st. If anyone cannot go and has a room, let Jackie Prescott know because we may have other members that need a room. Meet at 6:00 AM for breakfast at the Cracker Barrel on Riverside Drive in Macon,Georgia. We will be departing from Cracker Barrel 7:00 AM Sharp!! Lunch will be at the No Name Cafe around 1:00 PM and arrival at Fontana Village around 2:30-3:00 PM.
August 20 or 21 we will have a Poker Run. Details will follow soon!
Sunday,September 11th is our Annual End of Summer Picnic. It will be at 2:00 PM at Ken & Joyce's daughter's house at Lake Sinclair. The club will furnish hamburgers,hot dogs, condiments,Coke & Sprite. You will need to bring a covered dish or dessert to share. If you want something special to drink you will need to bring that,also. Don't miss this fun event!
The local Cruise-ins are as follows:
Peach Outlet -1st Saturday of each month
Steak & Shake in Warner Robins- 2nd Saturday of each month
Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, August 2,2011 at 7:00 PM at Montana's in Byron at the Peach Outlet.
