Minutes of May 2011 general meeting.
MAY 3, 2011
The Middle Georgia Miata Club met at Sonny's Restaurnat on Russell Parkway on Tuesday,May 3, 2011 at 7:00 PM. Our President,Jackie Prescott conducted the meeting. The Treasurer's Report was given by our Treasurer, Barbara Marshall.
A few members went to the Masonic Lodge in Danville to have breakfast. Thanks for inviting everyone Mike!! It was awesome. Mike also has a friend that is a travel agent and he offered to use them if we need to get good rates for a future trip.
In May, a Poker Run is being planned. Date TBA later. We will be eating somewhere afterwards. Stay Tuned!
June 2-5,2011,some members are making plans to attend Zoomin' in the Mountains of East Tennessee-Rooms are $75.00 a night at the Holiday Inn in Johnson City.

Some events available are various cruises,Winery Ride-$20.00,Entry to all Bristol Motor Speedway Events-$10.00, 5 laps on BMS-$25.00 and a Pool Party/Cookout-$5.00 a person.
On Saturday,June 25th- We are having a Scavenger Hunt with eating afterwards. Time TBA!!
Fri,July 29-Sun,July 31- Weekend trip to Deal's Gap for Miatas at the Gap. We will depart at 7:00 AM from the Cracker Barrel on Riverside Drive in Macon,GA. Most members have reservations at Fontana Village but there are other places to stay closeby if it is full. Telephone number at Fontana is 828-498-2211. If you want to have breakfast at Cracker Barrel before we leave,you need to be there at 6:00 AM to eat.
Sunday,September 11- Our Annual End of Summer Picnic. We will be going to Ken & Joyce Clouds daughter's house on Lake Sinclair. Details to follow at a later date. You will need to bring a covered dish to share and the club will provide hot dogs & hamburgers.
It was discussed that we are invited to attend the Lake Seminole Car Show in the future.
The regular scheduled car cruise-ins each month are as follows- Peach Outlet Cruise-in on the 1st Saturday of the month and Steak & Shake Cruise-in in Warner Robins each 2nd Saturday of the month.
Our next meeting is on Tuesday,June 7th at Montana's Restaurant in Byron Peach Outlet Shoppes at 7:00 PM.
